It's beginning to look a lot like...... Halloween.

In light of everything going on it is nice to take my mind off things and do some Halloween projects. I purchased some items form my cousins shop and decided to get some of my projects out and see what I have and what I have yet to get. Here is an interesting shot of some of my masks I have collected over the past few years.

Home again.

We returned from Kentucky with the relief that a loved one has made it through surgery with flying colors. Unfortunately this is the start of a battle that maybe fought for some time to come. I appreciate all who visited and kept my family in their thoughts. Thanks.

Going Home.

Tomorrow after work we are heading down to the promise land for the weekend. I wish it was for a nice visit and good times but unfortunately this is not the case. I am sure I will get to see my family but not for a pleasant visit. I just hope everything turns out alright. Have a good weekend everyone.

Here's to the bad times.

Last week on Friday I received some bad news. I won't go into that but on Saturday I get nailed with jury duty. The date for said Jury duty is Sept. 11th.....Nice. Today was crappy and tomorrow seems to be promising the same. When it rains, it pours.

Last weekend was somewhat eventful. Needles and I went to the big city and did some retail therapy. I bought us new cell phones and Needles purchased a nice dining table and chairs. She is bring it home today and I get to put it together. I don't mind doing it but I am not really looking forward to it. I hope all the pieces are there and the wood is in good shape when I get it out. It seems that whenever we buy something like this there is always a blemish somewhere on it that drives me nuts. I just gotta keep telling myself. It will be fun.....Maybe after a few hundred times I might start believing it.

Home Early.

Today was slow. I got off work a whole hour early. It's been awhile. They have our old CT scanner completely out and they are painting the room. Tomorrow is the new install of our new scanner. It is supposed to be up and running Sat. Fingers crossed.

Happy Hump Day.

Today the week is half way over. They have the CT Scanner in pieces but it is not out of the building yet. The Semi Truck was there when I left to pick it up. Tomorrow the new scanner will be here and they will start getting it up and running. Hopefully without to much trouble. I hope the rest of the week goes as smooth as today. We will see.

Crappy week.

I have to agree with Cynical. This week is starting out to be a crappy one. Yesterday I work over 2 hours and today I worked over an hour. I guess the pay check will look nice but it's not worth it. Tomorrow they are getting ready to put in a new CT scanner. A Phillips 16 slice. Our old Marconie is being de-installed tomorrow and our new one is supposed to be up and running by Monday. I hope the rest of the week goes quick. I am already ready for the weekend.

Home Alone...

I am home alone, if you don't count our crazy cats. Needles has run off and abandon me for the BIG city and the promise of lots of yarn and fiber goodies. When I talked with her last night she sounded like she was having a good time. Today will probably be and expensive day for them.....I get the feeling. While Needles has been away I went and visited my Brother and his family. We ordered out from the Trace Inn and Rudys nappy head needed cut so I commence to shearing his melon. I trained myself to cut hair with electric clippers when I had a black cocker spaniel named Spanky many years ago. I had flash backs of it while I was cutting Rudy's noggin. Last night I worked on the gas chamber abit. As I mentioned before it is very heavy and I am stripping it down of everything that doesn't need to be there. I think I have gotten it as light and it is going to get. This prop is in serious need of a dolly to help maneuver it around. I worked out in the garage until about 8:30 pm and then came in to watch some T.V. and surf the internets. I am not sure what is on the agenda for today. The day is wide open.

Get it over with.

Today was humpday and I wish I could look on the rest of the week like the worst is behind us, but I am afraid this is not the case. Today was a total cluster. While being busy with patients the other idiotic thing we in the healthcare field has to do is babysit Doctors. Both yesterday and today patient reports had to be done TWICE because the dim witted doctors sign reports that don't have there name on it. I wouldn't have been bad if it was an accident or just one or two were signed, but these reports were knowingly signed wrong and there was about 60 of them all together. This is about like you signing your name to the bottom of your neighbors check and expecting to cash it without problems. It just doesn't work! You know it. I know it but because they are doctors they think that the world should bend to their warped sense of view. I sorry that I have to vent here but I am afraid if I didn't, I might not make it the rest of the week. Our main doctor seems to think he can just come and go with whenever he wants and to hell with the schedule and the patients awaiting their exams to be read. He was scheduled all week and Last weekend he didn't show up. Also we found out today that he will not be in tomorrow either. If you or I tried this at our jobs we would probably have to find new jobs.

Time for a Schwan's ice cream sandwich break.

That knocked the zookeeper in the head. At least there is only 2 days left but then again....There is 2 days left. Oye.

Done!

The both lawns are mowed the laundry is done. I am hot a sweaty and ready for supper, which Needles is making right now. Stuffed shells ..... YUUUUUMMMMMM. So the list of things to do is smaller but at least I accomplished a few of the items I wanted to get done this weekend. Hope tomorrow goes smooth as my boss is out of town for a week and things tend to go ape feces when she is gone. Have a good week everyone.

CACHE SLASH FEST 2006!

The event is posted thanks to Rudy. Check it out.

Full Weekend.

Friday night I was taking a nap when I was awaken by my sweetheart. She said I have a call. I roused my lazy rear out of bed and staggered to the phone. It was Rudy and Ed wanting to know if I wanted to go ghost hunting. I said sure why I stumbled to get on some presentable clothes and wipe the sleep from my eyes. We left around 9pm and went to our first cemetery of the night. We took several pictures and tried an EVP. I don't think we caught anything there. We then went to another cemetery where a young man died of a somewhat suspectious nature. We thought we would see if there was anything going on there. It just seemed the ghosts didn't wan to communicate that night.

Saturday we got up bright and early to go to a street long yard sale. The sale was down Rudy and Ed's street so we went to see what they had. After a short visit, it was time to go south the Needle's Moms house and can kraut. The cabbage had been working for 6 weeks and was ready for canning. 11 heads of cabbage ended up making 10 cans of kraut. They are all nice and sealed and ready when we want them. We then went to the big city and was able to knock off one of the Halloween items needed for a project. Saturday night we went up town to watch King Kong. Since we already saw it and it was getting late we decided to leave early.

Today is laundry and mowing. It is hard to get the energy level up to get things accomplished so I made some coffee. Hopefully that will get the wheels a rollin.

Cuz's Shop

My cousin is opening a shop this month. He has done a lot of selling on ebay but his sales has gotten to the level where a physical shop was needed. He is getting in a shipment of Halloween costumes and other festive items. Here is a few shots from inside the shop. It is awesome. Definitely my kinda place.

My co worker G talked me into bringing home an old blood bank that looks cool. I may have some pictures of it sometime but it is in it's second life as a gas chamber for Halloween complete with smoke and a thrashing body. Wish me luck becuase this thing is severly heavy. I got to do some stripping of the equipment to lighten the load. Wish me luck on this project. I'm gonna need it.
